This frilled lizard is most likely, fending off a predator by opening its frills and hissing to make it as scary as it can.

The frilled lizard responds to predators by opening its frills and hissing to make it as scary as it can. It also does this, to other frilled lizards when it thinks another is crossing the boundaries in to its territory.
The adult frilled lizard can grow up to 3 feet long and weigh up to 1.1 pounds.
The female lizards reproduce by laying 8 to 23 in an underground nest. (shown below) When the female is done she hides the eggs by using her hind legs to cover the eggs with dirt.
The frilled lizard like many other animals needs air, food, water, and shelter to survive, this is how this animal does it. The Frilled lizard like all other lizards breathe through their nose. The frilled lizard mainly eats bugs like cicadas, beetles, and termites. They also favour butterflies and moths, but the favourite food of the frilled lizard is larvae. Occasionally they will eat spiders and even other lizards. Frilled lizards are arboreal meaning it spends most of its time in trees, this is for camoflouge to hide from predators. They usually only venture on the ground to find food, or to engage in territorial battles with other frilled lizards. TASK:2
